Innovative initiative aims to fully utilize all the material created in production of wooden elements for furniture or construction by extracting chemical compounds from condensate created during the processes of hydrothermal treatments of wood. Condensate will be sampled (for different wood species, types and duration of steaming) in wood industry companies, and the chemical composition and biological activities of individual components will be examined in detail. A portfolio will be created of condensate-originated chemical compounds that can replace their non-renewable equivalents in various products
