The project foresees crossbreeding different groups of pig breeds, specifically Duroc meat breeds and indigenous Moravian breeds, to create hybrids that are genetically inclined to adapt to a free farming system. Result is food utilization directly from nature and secondary products of agriculture and the food industry, in accordance with the very principles of a circular economy. The resulting crossbred pigs would possess carcass qualities that meet market requirements while being ecologically competitive and economically profitable. Additionally, this process aims to reduce pollution, specifically the equivalent of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2), by approximately 50.7%.
