The project “Awaken the Skin” aims to apply circular economy principles in natural cosmetics by transforming corn bran, a by-product of traditional flour milling, into a value-added oil-based body scrub. Building on the production of a traditional watermill, the project introduces a new cosmetic product that reduces industrial by-products while creating additional market value. The initiative focuses on local sourcing, natural ingredients, and recyclable packaging to minimize environmental impact. By engaging women from rural areas in production, packaging, and promotion, the project strengthens skills, income opportunities, and economic independence. Expected results include reduced waste from milling processes, pilot-scale production of body scrub units, and the establishment of a replicable circular model that connects traditional food processing with sustainable cosmetic production.
