The project titled New sustainable materials based on natural raw materials is carried out by the Innovation Center of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade DOO, in partnership with Jekom DOO. The project's primary goal is to create biodegradable epoxy (EA) and polyurethane (PU) adhesives by processing waste biomass and polymer waste, such as PET packaging. These new adhesives aim to replace fossil-based materials used in industry and construction. The project involves the development and application of green methods for treatment and modification of raw materials derived from waste, resulting in adhesives with enhanced mechanical and fire-resistant properties. Additionally, the initiative also includes developing composite materials with a focus on sustainability and reduced environmental impact.
