The project “Green Cosmetics Inspired by Biowaste – A Sustainable Step Toward the Circular Bioeconomy” aims to reduce agricultural and food industry biowaste by transforming it into value-added cosmetic products through an innovative circular framework. The project focuses on producing biochar from biowaste, such as apricot kernels, using low-impact pyrolysis and applying it as an alternative to conventional activated carbon in cosmetic face masks. This approach reduces biowaste disposal costs, lowers greenhouse gas emissions, and decreases energy and raw material consumption in cosmetic production. By replacing expensive and energy-intensive inputs, the project is expected to reduce final product costs while improving resource efficiency. The initiative contributes to waste reduction, circular bioeconomy development, and the application of green technologies in the cosmetics sector.
