The From Old to New project in Serbia targets the development of sustainable practices in paper and cardboard recycling, with a special focus on involving persons with developmental disabilities in the production process. The project aims to develop additives and equipment for manual and semi-automatic production of paper products, expanding the recycling scope and improving product quality. Key activities include the development of biodegradable additives, manufacturing tools and equipment for creating paper pulp products, and organizing campaigns to enhance waste paper collection. The project seeks to reduce plastic usage, lessen carbon emissions, and support circular economy principles by using waste paper as a raw material for new products. This initiative also promotes social inclusion by providing meaningful employment for people with developmental disabilities, enhancing their personal independence and community engagement.
