The project “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in the Service of Sustainable Agriculture (AgRoAI)” aims to develop and demonstrate an automated agricultural system that integrates robotics and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, sustainability, and productivity in crop cultivation. The project focuses on precision agriculture through real-time monitoring of plant health using AI-based image analysis and robotic systems, enabling early detection of diseases and reducing the need for pesticides. By automating labor-intensive processes in seedling care and crop monitoring, the project addresses labor shortages while increasing yields and resource efficiency. Renewable energy solutions are incorporated to power the robotic system, further reducing CO₂ emissions. The project delivers a functional robotic platform tested in real agricultural conditions and provides a scalable model for sustainable, technology-driven agriculture.
