As part of public call aimed at strengthening the role of women entrepreneurs in the circular economy, 20 outstanding initiatives have been selected to receive financial support ranging from USD 5,000 to 20,000 to help bring their ideas to life.
Due to an exceptionally high number of quality applications submitted by women entrepreneurs from across Serbia, twice as many initiatives were supported than originally planned, and the total award fund was increased to USD 240,000.
The selected initiatives present sustainable solutions in the fields of cosmetics, textiles, food production, agriculture, and architecture. The call was jointly launched by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), with support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
