Following the second round of evaluation of applications submitted under the Public Call for Circular Solutions for Communities in Serbia, which closed on 31 August 2026<\/strong>, the Project Board has selected three initiatives<\/strong> to receive support for implementing circular innovation projects in local communities in the City of Prokuplje and the municipalities of Ra\u017eanj and Blace.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With these Circular Awards, the Public Call launched on 6 July 2026 has now officially closed<\/strong>, with all available funds successfully allocated. Should additional funding become available, the project team will contact other applicants whose proposals were positively evaluated during the previous two selection rounds but could not be funded under the current cycle.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this Public Call is to support measures that contribute to the green transition of local communities through the application of circular economy principles. Funding is provided for the implementation of pilot initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to communities and are aligned with the objectives and measures set out in the Circular Economy Development Programme of the Republic of Serbia for 2026\u20132030 and its accompanying Action Plan.<\/p>\n

The Public Call was launched as part of the project „Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Local Communities through the Application of Circular Economy Principles in the Republic of Serbia \u2013 Circular Communities“, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, with financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
