The “Film Goes Green” initiative, led by Fondacija NSFF, aims to promote circular economy principles in Serbia’s film industry by integrating informal waste collectors into festival waste management. Activities include educational campaigns, workshops, lectures, and panel discussions for young filmmakers and industry professionals, development and public promotion of a rulebook for green filmmaking, and collaboration with local companies to install recycling containers at festival venues. The project seeks to reduce festival waste by 70%, replace printed materials with digital alternatives, and foster sustainable practices and social inclusion within the film sector.
