Green Transition of Municipal Infrastructure
Носилац пројекта:Municipality of Medvedja
Локација:Medvedja
The project aims to address the problem of outdated, energy‑inefficient, and partially non‑functional public lighting infrastructure across the Municipality of Medvedja, which currently generates unnecessarily high electricity consumption, increased operational costs, and higher greenhouse gas emissions from public sector. The project envisaged the comprehensive modernization and partial replacement of the existing public lightening network across the municipality’s territory, combining efficient LED technology with autonomous off – grid solar lighting systems in priority location, as an integrated infrastructure measure aimed at enhancing road and pedestrian safety, improving the quality of public space and strengthening the energy sustainability of the local community. The objective is to provide uniform and reliable lighting that ensures safer movement of vehicles and pedestrians during evening and night-time conditions, while reducing operational costs and carbon emissions compared to conventional lightening systems connected to grid currently in use.
