Eco×Deco – Furniture Made From Construction Textile Waste

The project “Eco×Deco” aims to apply circular economy principles by transforming construction textile waste into functional furniture and decorative products through local, low-emission production. Building on an established methodology, the project uses discarded PVC/PES membranes as both filling and covering material to maximize resource efficiency and prevent landfill disposal or incineration. Waste textiles are collected, processed, and redesigned into interior and exterior products with a strong visual identity. The initiative also supports women’s economic empowerment by engaging women in design, sewing, and textile-based production. Expected results include the development of pilot prototypes and a final product collection, reduced greenhouse gas emissions through material reuse, and the establishment of a scalable circular design model that connects creativity, sustainability, and inclusive employment.
