The project “Brigid BIO Circle – Plants Without Waste” aims to develop and scale a circular business model for the production of sustainable substrates and care products for houseplants. The project replaces non-renewable resources such as peat and synthetic fertilizers with secondary raw materials from the food and plant industries, including coconut fiber, worm castings, and biomass. Products are designed with 100% biodegradable or recyclable packaging, supporting waste reduction and resource efficiency. The initiative combines local green production with technological upgrades, user education, and digital support tools to improve plant care while reducing water and fertilizer use. By applying circular economy principles, the project contributes to lower CO₂ emissions, elimination of plastic waste, and increased production efficiency. It also supports job creation and the inclusion of women in green production processes, while establishing a scalable and replicable model for sustainable horticulture.
