Following two rounds of proposal evaluation, the Public Call for Circular Solutions for Communities in Serbia has officially closed, and applications are no longer being accepted.
The call attracted a large number of submissions. Following a thorough evaluation process, initiatives that met the eligibility and quality criteria of the Public Call were selected for support, resulting in the full allocation of all available funding. Should additional funding become available, the project team will contact applicants whose proposals were successfully evaluated but could not be funded at this stage.
The purpose of this Public Call is to support measures that contribute to the green transition of local communities through the application of circular economy principles. This is achieved by financing concrete pilot initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to communities, in line with the objectives and measures set out in the Circular Economy Development Programme of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2026–2030 and its accompanying Action Plan.
The Public Call was launched as part of the project “Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Local Communities through the Application of Circular Economy Principles in the Republic of Serbia – Circular Communities”, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, with financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
