Following the first evaluation round of applications submitted under the Public Call for Circular Solutions for Communities in Serbia, which closed on 31 July 2026, the Project Board selected five initiatives.
The selected proposals met all prescribed criteria, demonstrated the feasibility of their proposed solutions, and stood out for their potential positive impact on the wider community. The initiatives that will receive support under the current Public Call were submitted by the Municipality of Osečina, City and Me Ltd., the Tate Novosađani Foundation, the Association of Inventors of Serbia, and Public Utility Company “Zlatibor”.
The Public Call remains open, and all interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications.
All applications received after 31 July will be considered during the second evaluation round. Proposals that were not selected in the first round may be further improved and resubmitted through the electronic application form.
The second evaluation round will take place on 31 August 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
If a sufficient number of applications meeting the prescribed criteria are received, the Project Board reserves the right to close the Public Call before the stated deadline. Otherwise, the Public Call will remain open until 20 October 2026, with evaluation rounds conducted at the end of each month.

The purpose of this Public Call is to provide funding for measures that contribute to the green transition of local communities through the application of circular economy principles by implementing concrete pilot initiatives aimed at delivering tangible benefits for communities, in line with the objectives and measures set out in the Circular Economy Development Programme of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2026–2030 and its accompanying Action Plan.
The Public Call was launched as part of the project “Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Local Communities by Applying Circular Economy Principles in the Republic of Serbia – Circular Communities”, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and with financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
