At the Greenville Festival, visitors to the Eco Market had the opportunity to meet inspiring women entrepreneurs who showcased their products and work supported through the Public Call for Strengthening the Role of Women in the Circular Economy.
During the festival, award-winning entrepreneurs presented their products to visitors, including Slavica Karić Antonić (Sweet Jar), Jasna Mauković (Yasna), Milica Ličina (Anđeli Delicije), Jelena Stevanović (EcoWaves), and Jelena Miletić (Homeland in a Jar).
Particular attention from the youngest visitors was drawn to the workshop “Little Butterflies and Flowers Made of Wool,” where participants used raw sheep’s wool—often considered waste—to create colorful butterflies and flowers, transforming a natural material into small works of art. The workshop was led by Jelena from the “Save the Wool” initiative, which promotes the preservation of traditional crafts, the sustainable use of wool, and the empowerment of local communities through a creative and environmentally friendly approach.
These are just some of the many innovations supported through the project “Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Local Communities through the Application of Circular Economy Principles in the Republic of Serbia – Circular Communities,” implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia, with financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
