Circular Economy Working Group Holds First Meeting

The first meeting of the Circular Economy Working Group was held in Sokobanja, organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection in partnership with UNDP Serbia.

During the meeting, Ms. Aleksandra Vučinić, Head of the Department for Circular Economy and Sustainable Development at the Ministry, presented the Circular Economy Development Programme of the Republic of Serbia for 2022–2024, along with key activities implemented to date within this strategic framework.

In the second part of the meeting, representatives from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, presented a draft of the new Circular Economy Development Programme, which will define priorities and measures for the coming period.

The aim of the meeting was to agree on next steps and ensure the active engagement of all relevant stakeholders in advancing the circular economy in Serbia.
